For the second year in a row, Jordan Jackson qualified for the State Tennis Tournament. On April 18 & 19, Stockdale participated in the Regional Tennis Tournament at Texas State University. In the Boys Singles, Jordan ran through the first three opponents in straight sets. In the finals, he and his opponent split sets. As the third set started, Jackson had to retire due to medical issues. He placed second at the tournament, which qualified him for state. Every athlete that competes for Stockdale ISD is required to have a physical in order to participate. We are offering physicals for the upcoming 2012-2013 seasons on May 16, 2012 at 3:30 at our high school gym. There will be doctor’s onsite conducting physicals for our athletes. The cost is $20.00 and this physical will cover them for anything they play the upcoming 2012-2013-school year. Earlier this year, Stockdale ISD participated in ‘Pennies for Patients’, a fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The world’s largest voluntary health organization is dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Over $4000.00 was donated through this effort.
