Stockdale Elementary holds Prekindergarten Registration

  Stockdale Elementary School will be holding Prekindergarten registration for the 2018-2019 school year on Thursday, May 3rd from 3:30 to 5:00 pm at the Elementary School.  Stockdale Elementary has a full-day, high-quality Prekindergarten program, with transportation provided.  Students that live in the district that will be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2018 and meet certain eligibility standards may apply for enrollment at that time.  To meet eligibility standards, a student must qualify for one of the following:  a) be unable to speak or comprehend English, b) educationally disadvantaged (eligible for free or reduced lunch program), c) be homeless, d) is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, e) is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or f) is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Section 262.201, Family Code.  The Elementary school also accepts students on a tuition-basis for those families not eligible for free Prekindergarten.

  Stockdale Elementary will also be hosting Kindergarten registration for next year during the week of May 7-11th at the Elementary School library.  Students that will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018 and live in the district may enroll during that time.  Feel free to come by the school between 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with the appropriate documents.  Students that are currently enrolled in Stockdale Elementary Prekindergarten do not have to re-register.

 

  Please bring the following information with you to registration:  state-issued birth certificate, social security card, current immunization record, parent’s driver’s license or identification, proof of residency (like a water or light bill), and most current proof of income.   If you have any questions, call 830-996-1612.
