Important Letter to All Stockdale Elementary Parents
Greetings Parents/Guardians!
We are so excited to be starting a new year at Stockdale Elementary! Teachers and staff have been working hard to prepare for the students, and we have high expectations for this year!
YOU ARE INVITED TO "MEET THE TEACHER" ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 17TH FROM 5:30-7:00 PM! Your child will receive a postcard from his/her teacher, so make plans now to attend. You can come visit with your new teachers, bring supplies, and find out more information about the school day!
This letter is to provide you with important information that you will need to know to support your child throughout the year. There are a couple of changes to note, but we will be reminding you over the coming weeks.
First, the district is implementing a new security system on each campus called "Raptor" (Click here to view Raptor Letter). YOU WILL NEED TO BRING A STATE-ISSUED I.D. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ENTER THE CAMPUS.
Second, due to the detrimental effects of the pep rallies on instructional time, there will be an alternating time schedule (Click here to view Pep Rally Schedule). The first pep rally will be at the same time as last year (12:35-1:05 pm), but the following week will be from 2:00-2:30 pm. The pep rallies will then alternate as such for the remainder of the season. Students will follow an Early Lunch Schedule on those days that the Pep Rally is at 12:30. Students must sit with their classroom teacher at the pep rally. Students will not be allowed to go sit in other areas away from their class.

Parents are expected to drop off their child at the second awning, by the cafeteria no later than 8:00a.m. Students will walk through the building and proceed to the playground from there. There will be Student Council and 4H helpers to make sure little ones get to the playground safely. Students will not be allowed to enter the Front Office doors.
- Students are either "Bus Riders", "Car Riders", or "Walkers" at the end of the day. Car Riders are picked up from the cafeteria. Any driver picking up students should have the "car tag" with the student's name, in order to pick them up. Otherwise, the driver/parent will have to bring an ID to the office to retrieve the student from the cafeteria. PLEASE BE COURTEOUS and follow the procedure for parking in the car line.
- Transportation changes must be made prior to 1 :00 pm in order to let the student's teacher know. If you call toward the end of the day, we cannot guarantee your request can be completed. Please try to choose one type of transportation for your child to use every day as this lessens confusion and prevents mistakes. DO NOT email or message the teachers and expect them to see it immediately. They are busy teaching.
- The purple "Tuesday Take-Home Folder" will be coming home every Tuesday during the year. All important information from the office will be on light purple paper. Please remove information and return the folder to your classroom teacher.
- Due to student food allergies, parents are asked to eat lunch with their child only at a separate "Parent Table" in the cafeteria. If you would like another student to sit with you, a note will need to be provided from that child's parent giving permission each day. Also, the office will not accept outside lunches. Please check in at the office to get a Visitor tag if you plan to go to the cafeteria.
