Accelerated Reader

AR goes Online!!

Renaissance Learning is the company that provides Accelerated Reader tests.  We now have access to every test the company has written through its web-based program.  If a student does outside reading and Renaissance Learning has a test for the book, we have access to the test.  Not only can the students take Reading Practice Tests, but they can also take Vocabulary Test and Literacy Skills Tests.  This program gives continuous feedback that allows personalized instruction for each student.

We have added new features to our Renaissance Learning site; STAR Reading, STAR Early Literacy, and English in a Flash. The teachers use STAR Reading to assess the reading level and measure growth of the students. For the young readers, STAR Early Literacy is used to assess general readiness, phonemic awareness, phonics, and other early reading skills. English in a Flash helps students become proficient in English by learning the sounds, vocabulary and basic grammar.
